USO UNITY FORUM NORTH AMERICA DONATES 10,000 EXERCISE BOOKS TO SCHOOLS, CHAMPIONS GRASSROOTS EDUCATION
In a bold step to promote quality education at the grassroots, Uso Unity Forum North America (UUFNA) has donated 10,000 exercise books to pupils and students in primary and secondary schools across Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The donation was officially presented at the Oloba’s Palace, Uso, where community leaders, clergy, teachers, and students gathered to witness the landmark gesture. Beneficiaries include pupils of St. Andrew’s Anglican Primary School, St. James’ Anglican Primary School, St. Peter’s C&S Primary School, C.A.C Primary School, L.A Primary School Oke-Odo, St. James’ Primary School Ago-Asolo, as well as students of Uso Grammar School.
Expressing his gratitude, the Oloba of Uso, Oba Engr. Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade Olanipekun III, PhD, described the initiative as a clear demonstration of the diaspora’s unwavering commitment to the growth of the community. He stressed that the intervention would ease the learning process for young students while motivating them to pursue academic excellence.
Also speaking, The Ven. Dr. Olatunde Abiodun commended the Forum for prioritizing education, noting that knowledge remains the foundation of meaningful development. He prayed for continued success for members of the Forum and for the prosperity of Uso indigenes both home and abroad.
Teachers and school heads hailed the timely support, while pupils and students expressed joy and appreciation, promising to make good use of the books.
