NOA PRAISES AIYEDATIWA’S VISION IN REVIVING CULTURE, TO PARTNER MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND TOURISM

The Ondo State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has lauded the visionary leadership of the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to the revival and promotion of cultural heritage in the state.
The commendation came during a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Afolabi Adesoji, by a delegation of NOA officials led by the State Director, Mr. James Adekunle.
In his remarks, Mr. Adekunle highlighted the Governor’s outstanding interventions in cultural development, citing the revival of the Mare Festival in Idanre, the partnership with Owo Kingdom on the Igogo Festival, and the collaboration with Arogbo Kingdom on the Arogbo-Ibe Day celebration. He noted that these initiatives reflect the Governor’s resolve to safeguard traditions while creating platforms that foster unity, pride, and economic growth through tourism.
The NOA delegation further expressed readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in promoting civic education, cultural reorientation, and sensitization campaigns that will project the positive image of Ondo State and the Renewed Hope Initiative of the present administration.
Responding, Hon. Adesoji welcomed the proposed partnership, affirming that the Ministry is committed to working with NOA in showcasing Ondo State’s diverse tourist attractions and ensuring that culture and orientation remain powerful tools for social cohesion and development.
Hon. Adesoji reaffirmed the Ministry’s determination to consolidate the gains of culture, tourism, orientation, and entertainment as key drivers of social and economic development in Ondo State.
