The Julius and Eunice Adegoroye FOUNDATION has commended UNIMEDTH in Ondo for accepting to support the Foundation in facilitating a major surgical operation for Ms Kemi Oluwatukasi who has been battling a major medical condition called Ameloblastoma, which is the massive swelling of the jaw.

In a statement, the Secretary to the Foundation, Dr Aderinsola Adegoroye described as humanitarian the decision of the hospital to bear part of the cost of the surgery which requires total replacement of Ms Oluwatukasi’s jaw.

She said the Foundation decided to bear the huge cost of the woman’s surgery after it was contacted by her family who informed of the severity of the condition of the patient, as she has been living on liquid only for a year.

Dr Adegoroye said it is the core mandate of the Foundation to help bring succour to people in desperate situations, and thanked the Chief Medical Director of UNIMEDTH, Dr Gbala for the assurance that the surgery would help restore the woman’s normal life.

The Foundation urged public spirited individuals to rise to the occasion when they come across people in need instead of insisting that government must solely take care of all of society’s needs.

Julius and Eunice Adegoroye FOUNDATION was established in memory of Barrister Julius Adedeji Adegoroye and Mrs Eunice Fehintola Adegoroye.
