ONDO GOVERNMENT HAILS AKINRINLOLA OLOKUNBORO FOUNDATION’S “MAKE AKURE CLEAN AGAIN” INITIATIVE

The Ondo State Government has commended the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation for its proactive measures aimed at promoting a cleaner and safer environment in Akure.
Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Dr. Tob Loko, represented by his Special Assistant, Mr. Obaado Lanre, gave the commendation during the foundation’s weekly environmental sanitation exercise. He assured of the government’s readiness to partner with the foundation in sustaining efforts that promote environmental health and public safety.
The foundation’s flagship project, tagged “Make Akure Clean Again (MACA),” is designed to improve sanitation and encourage a healthier lifestyle for residents. The exercise, which holds every Saturday without disrupting daily routines, involves clearing gutters, cleaning roads, and other environmental interventions across different parts of the city.
Project Manager of the foundation, Barr. Oluwatoba Olaifa, expressed appreciation to the state government for its willingness to collaborate. She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to aligning with government policies on environmental sustainability, while pledging continuous mobilization of volunteers to drive the cause.
According to her, the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation remains open to further partnerships to create a fresher and greener Akure. Residents who participated in this week’s exercise, which covered Stadium Road and adjoining areas, expressed delight at the initiative and promised their continued support.
The Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation, powered by Prince Akintayo Olokunboro, has consistently championed community-driven projects to enhance public health and environmental sustainability in Ondo State.
