VETERAN ACTOR YEMI AYEBO RECOUNTS DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER OLAMIDE IGNORED HIM FOR SIX MONTHS 

Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Ayebo, popularly known as Yemi My Lover, has expressed disappointment over how music star Olamide ignored his efforts to reach out after the artiste mentioned his name in one of his hit songs.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor narrated how excited he was when he first heard Olamide use his name in the track “Yemi My Lover”, a gesture he described as flattering and a sign of respect. However, things took a different turn when fuji legend Pasuma asked if Olamide had compensated him in any way for using his name.

“I told Pasuma that Olamide didn’t give me any money. Right there, he called Olamide and handed the phone to me. I spoke with Olamide and he told me to get his number from Pasuma and call him later,” Yemi Ayebo explained.

According to the actor, he followed Olamide’s instructions and made several attempts to reach out. “I called him consistently for over six months. He didn’t pick my calls. I sent numerous messages, but there was no response.”

The revelation has sparked reactions from fans who expressed mixed feelings, some praising the actor’s humility and patience, while others criticized Olamide for failing to acknowledge the veteran entertainer who inspired a generation of Yoruba romance-themed films.
